By Bike

While Pittsburgh is known for its beautiful (and hilly!) topography, the neighborhoods east of downtown sit on a broad plateau, making biking a pleasant and healthy mode of transportation. The city's ongoing commitment to adding additional bicycle lanes provides even greater safety. Winchester Thurston has bike racks out front for those who wish to bike to the theater.

Healthy Ride, Pittsburgh’s bike sharing system, operates stations located along Ellsworth Ave. With the program, bikes checked out from any of the dozens of stations around PIttsburgh can be ridden and returned to a nearby station. See the Healthy Bike locations below, or visit healthyridepgh.com

For more information on other bicycle sharing programs across the country, please visit our friends at bikemunk.com.
